Hi! I'm new to this forum. What got me to register was the yt videos of how zvc was able to print ALL the parts and assemble it. I would like to someday be able to do that.

I started with 1:6 scale. I would search for those made by Soldier Story, DAM Toys, Dragon Models and Easy & Simple. The only moveable parts were the Charging Handle and Trigger. On to 1:3 scale from Trumpeter, Dragon Models and Easy Model, these were discontinued due to lack of sales. Also on this scale no moving parts (except for Dragon Models). Recently is 1:12 scale by Little Armoury (TomyTec). A recent YT video I saw was from Alloy Army, a 1:205 scale of an M4A1.

The most expensive and actually firing (1:2) scaled down guns are made by Miniature Firearms.

Looking at the discussions on this forum, you guys most if not all have 3D printers. I assume you just print directly from the files given and do some minor modifications on the support and other printer settings.

Has anyone tried Resin? I know that the space on how big you can print on Resin is not as big and hard when using Filaments. Also has anyone tried using Metal Powder?

Resin should work as long as you are printing a pistol.
Metal 3d printers are as of now not really accesible to the public, also if you were to print any of these out of metal that would be a real firearm.
And for the scaled down thing, i wouldnt bother thinking about that it wont work the parts are just simply to small.

Could lead to tolerance issues on fdm printers, but might work with SLA
